27/10/1968 - On this Day in History - A massive demonstration against the Vietnam War takes place in central London PA NEWS PHOTO 27/10/68 A SOLID MASS OF MARCHERS IN PROTEST AT FLEET STREET, LONDON FOR THE ANTI VIETNAM WAR DEMONSTRATION
Do I remember I was there on the front line of the thin Blue Line ,20 years old and still wet behind the ears. The protesters charged us with scaffolding poles and threw bombs made of steel marbles and weed killer crammed into glass jars.My special equpment that day was my cricket box and soccer shin guards. I have never forgiven Jack Straw[Blakburn MP] even though I am still amember of the Labour Party. Where's my apology?
