Was the head during my stay at thgs .
He taught us 'o' level french(5h) , unfortuneatly for me not my best subject , and i became a front 'rower' .as such my shortcomings came under the spotlight. . i supposed it paid off because i passed my exam . He did seem overly fond of the cane , and we always wondered why he became so red faced and angry when dishing it out , even for trivial offences . Such punishments are now illegal .

There was a chance to see the old school before it was torn down last month - I was lucky enough to spot it in the local paper. Sadly John Ballard died last year after a brave fight against cancer of the pancreas. In June his brother Gwyn, will cycle across America from Los Angeles to Conneticut in John's name. This will be the third anniversay of John's diagnosis and also an attempt to raise funds for research into pancreatic cancer - not one of the high profie cancers so lacking in funds.
