The scene at Rainhill Station, between Liverpool and Manchester, as thousands swarmed onto the track to get a final look at Britain's last steam train. Hundreds of steam enthusiasts made the journey aboard the ten-coach train, the Stanier 'Black Five' locomotive on the 314 mile round trip from Liverpool to Carlisle via Manchester today (Sunday)
