Was it a dry cleaners on wilmslow rd fallowfield?? i googled it and that came up but in the back of my mind , i thought it was a kind of coffee bar in longsight.. memory playing tricks..please help and add to this info if you can

I grew up in Fallowfield and do remember the name, but think it was a retail shop rather than Dry Cleaners-could be wrong. I was born in Manchester in 1946 and lived in Fallowfield until 1970.

Silver Wings was a Dry Cleaners. They had a few shops around Manchester. I remember they had a shop on High St. Cheadle.

Silver Wings was a dry cleaners on wilmslow Road in Withington and the shop next door was a newsagents called Toms. They were situated between Barbican Street and Davenport Ave. near the Victoria pub. Barbican Street and all the houses at the back of the shops and Davenport Ave have been pulled down.
