Hello, as soon as I saw the name, I knew who you were! Seems a lifetime away since this was taken - do you still play?????? ha ha ha. What about hockey??

Was still playing netball up until I broke a finger about five years ago....just umpire now in the school where I work.

Hi girls. Wow. I remember you Barbara, Leigh, Denise, Carol Kirby and Caroline Clarkson, Caroline left Queens just as I arrived. I was in the school hockey and netball team in 1968 and 1969 and 1970 until we returned to England. I have many happy memories of Queens not least the lovely Christmas bazaars we used to put on in the sports hall with coconut shy's etc and the cinema trip to see Romeo and Juliet with Leonard Whiting and Olivia Hussey. What a treat that was.

Do any of you remember Barbara Bulbeck, again she left just after I arrived but she was an amazing hockey player. Do you also remember in the last year we used the last term's PE lessons to learn ballroom dancing ready for our Christmas Dance which was held in either the Officers Club (I can't remember what it was called?) or the other ranks club which was called the Queensway. I'm sure you all remember Miss Prest. She sent me photo's of the teams after I returned to England.

Gosh, I'm on a memory roll. I remember dad giving me 10 maks to go and buy a tennis racket from the Sports NAAFI shop, I bought a Dunlop Blue Flash (I only got rid of it about 3 years ago, couldn't bear to part with it!!). He also gave me some money to buy a new swimming costume and I returned with a multi coloured bikini - ha ha, I had to go straight back to change it but it was worth trying.

Are you going to the closing ceremony? Where do you live these days? I was thinking about it , I have only been back to Rheindahlen once since leaving.
