Can anyone remember the exact year we had a visit from the Govenor and Miss Mackevil had assorted girls lining the school drive as she drove her car slowly up and down , and we all performed a mexican wave curtsey? This and the unveiling of the school song which sounded very slow and awesome ( beginning with the lines " Word of the Father and ending with A light for my pathway, a lamp for me feet)are 2 of the strongest memories for me, plus of course the introduction of the first Male teacher who took A level mathematics and who was teased unmercifully by us.
