I remember watching this (and Becker at Wimbledon) on TV with my daughters in a rain-drenched Glasgow just after returning from 9 months of teaching EFL in Spain. The contrast couldn't have been greater! Very inspiring, and amazing that Phil Collins could drum 'Something in the air' at the UK concert, then fly with Concord in time to play it at the US Liveaid concert on the same day!

I was lucky enough to be at Wembley on that sunny day in 85. Beyond all the excitement of the moment and the great music etc, which became cherished memories to this day, there was the very real feeling of being part of a wider humanity, acting in concert - literally and figuratively - to make the world a better place.

It was fantastic, I was 27 and watched it on TV with my 2 small daughters. I remember Madonna singing holiday and was amazed that she danced all the way through it without getting out of breath. It was a great day.

One of the most amazing live concerts ever and certainly up there with woodstock and Isle of Wight.

I still have a recording of it on 'Betamax' - anyone remember that format? The opening by Status Quo still sends shivers down my spine and as for Queen - well sensational.
