Australian actor Paul Hogan made famous by his on-screen character "Crocodile Dundee". * Rodney William Ansell, who was Australia's original "Crocodile Dundee" was shot dead by police in the Northern Territory in Australia on Tuesday 3 August 1999, following a gun battle in which Ansell shot dead a police officer. Paul Hogan starred in the movie which was based on the real life of Ansell.
